At SDL Pellets, all orders for a Horse Bedding 3/4 Pallet are produced in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire in England. Our highly skilled team of engineers have been producing wood pellets in our state-of-the-art pellet mill since 2016 and now produce up to 60,000 tonnes per year. The mill is powered by renewable energy, provided by our CHP biomass boiler. The biomass boiler is powered by low quality wood that can’t be used by our Sawmill. Many consider and leave wood as waste products, such as brash from our harvesting and recycling centres. This means that your pellets are produced sustainably and considering our impact on the environment.

What Is The Horse Bedding 3/4 Pallet Made From?

Our pellets are made from 100% British softwood by-products from our sawmill. The wood is harvested by our team from FSC-managed forests. Meaning the wood is fully compliant with our sustainable forestry practices and comes from sustainably managed forests. We have a zero-waste policy, from the trees we harvest to the sawdust given off by our sawmill. By recycling the by-products, it means nothing is wasted, and that no trees were cut down with the intention of producing your pellets. This is a win for the planet and a win for your pellets!

Why Are Wood Pellets Better For My Horse?

All the wood pellets we produce are ENplus A1 certified for fuel usage. This certifies the quality of our pellets, one of the criteria being low dust levels. While this certification is for fuel, its important, as our wood pellets contain a lot less dust than traditional bedding or other non-certified wood pellets for bedding. Therefore providing a low dust experience for you and your horse. This improves their respiratory health and general wellbeing while in their stable. This is especially important for any horses with respiratory or hypoallergenic issues. Furthermore, it also increases the absorbency of the pellets making them efficient for wet horses and making them easier to muck out as they clump up. This also saves you time as they are very convenient and easy to clean.

Delivery Options

We offer convenient deliveries across England and Wales. Deliveries to Scotland are also available, but there is a surcharge of £30 per order. The team are used to delivering to properties with restricted access but the Wood Pellet Half Pallet is best for this.
