At SDL Pellets, our Wood Pellet Horse Bedding Half Pallet is produced in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire in England. Our highly skilled team of engineers have been producing wood pellets in our state-of-the-art pellet mill since 2016, now producing up to 60,000 tonnes per year. The mill is powered by renewable energy, provided by our CHP biomass boiler. The biomass boiler is powered by low quality wood that can’t be used by our Sawmill. Many consider and leave wood as waste products, such as brash from our harvesting and recycling centres. This means that your pellets are produced sustainably and considering our impact on the environment.
Our pellets are made from 100% British softwood by-products from our sawmill. The wood is harvested by our team from well-managed forests. Meaning the wood is fully compliant with our sustainable forestry practices and comes from sustainably managed forests. We have a zero-waste policy, from the trees we harvest to the sawdust given off by our sawmill. By recycling the by-products, it means nothing is wasted, and that no trees were cut down with the intention of producing your pellets. This is a win for the planet and a win for your pellets!
Why Choose Wood Pellet Horse Bedding?
All the wood pellets we produce are ENplus A1 certified for fuel usage. This certifies the quality of our pellets, one of the criteria being low dust levels. While this certification is primarily for fuel, it’s still important to note. Our wood pellets contain significantly less dust than traditional bedding or other non-certified wood pellets, ensuring a low-dust environment for both you and your horse. This improves their respiratory health, the impact on any horses with respiratory or hypoallergenic issues. Furthermore, the wood pellet production process also enhances the absorbency of the pellets, making them not only efficient for wet horses but also easier to muck out due to their clumping properties.

Christmas Delivery Schedule:
- Free Delivery Before Christmas: Place your order by Noon 16th December to ensure free delivery before Christmas.
- Express Delivery Cut-Off: Last orders for express delivery must be placed by 20th December Noon.
- Haulage Schedule: Hauliers are closed from 24th to 26th December, so no pallet orders will be processed between 23rd and 27th December.
- Office Closures: Our office will be closed from 24th to 26th December and on 1st January. Normal service resumes on 27th December (excluding 1st January).
