At SDL Pellets we pride ourselves in having the best wood pellets on the market and the Biomass half pallet is an ideal size. All our pellets are 6mm ENplus A1 Wood Fuel Pellets and are made in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. Our skilled team have been producing wood pellets since 2016 and we’re now producing up to 60,000 tonnes per year. The pellet mill is powered by our own CHP biomass boiler. We have a zero-waste policy and ensure 100% of any harvested trees get utilised. The biomass boiler, to be eco-friendly, uses low-grade wood unsuitable for our sawmill, like brash from recycling centres.
Where Do Our Wood Pellets Come From?
Our pellets are made from by-products from our sawmill, which uses 100% British softwood. The wood is harvested by our team from well-managed forests. This means the wood comes from sustainable sources and well-managed woodlands, compliant with our sustainable forestry practices. By recycling the by-products, it means nothing is wasted, and that no trees were cut down with the intention of producing your pellets. This is a win for the planet and a win for your pellets, promoting quality and sustainability!
Our Wood Pellet Certifications
SDL Pellets are registered on the Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) which means your pellets are fully RHI compliant! Furthermore, they are Woodsure compliant, ensuring optimum efficiency and quality for your biomass boiler.
Biomass Half Pallet Delivery Options
We offer a range of delivery options from palletised wood pellets to blown deliveries. For pallet deliveries they come in sizes of half, ¾ and full pallets. If you need larger amounts of pellets, blown deliveries are ideal and cover orders of 3-26 tonnes. We have our own fleet of blower lorries and an experienced team who can deliver straight into your store. Good service, efficient free delivery. Haven’t used too many of them yet but they seem to burn cleaner and hotter than any of the other currently available brands I’ve tried. I would rate them to be the most similar to the old Verdo pellets (my former number 1 choice) that I’ve found so far. About to order some more in their summer sale.
